B1/B2 EXAM PREPARATION CLASS

The B1/B2 exam course provides a platform for student/instructor interaction; ideally, the students seating the B1/B2 exams shall have received the reading materials not later than two months to the exam date. They are supposed to prepare for the exams within this period; the interaction class will then provide the opportunity to offer solutions to grey areas in the study process and to offer general revision for the exam.

The course uses practically-oriented instruction and the latest (and constantly-updated) training documentation to cover all the theoretical and technical aspects of the topics required. The exam pass mark is 75% and the successful candidates will then qualify for their respective license.B1 or B2 license will enable the holder to be type rated in any aircraft that that the staff is trained on and with such endorsements the objectives of type training shall be realized.

 
Objectives
B1/B2 certifying staff will be able to:
 
  • recall the safety precautions
    (Part 66 Appendix III; 2. Level I, (a) & Part 66 Appendix III; 2. Level II, (b))
  • provide detailed descriptions of systems, structures and power plant and their interrelationships
    (Part 66, Appendix III, 2. Level III, (a) & Part 66 Appendix III; 2. Level I, (a) & Part 66 Appendix III; 2. Level II, (c) & Part 66 Appendix III; 2. Level I, (d))
  • use and interpret the relevant documentation, including the SRM.
    (Part 66 Appendix III; 2. Level I, (b) & Part 66 Appendix III; 2. Level II, (h) & Part 66 Appendix III; 2. Level III, (c))
  • identify special tooling and test equipment
    (Part 66 Appendix III; 2. Level I, (e))
  • identify the locations of principal components
    (Part 66 Appendix III; 2. Level II, (d))
  • collate information from various sources for troubleshooting purposes
    (Part 66, Appendix III, 2. Level III, (a) & (d) & Part 66, Appendix III, 2. Level II (a) & (g))
  • describe and perform servicing procedures
    (Part 66, Appendix III, 2. Level 2 (a) & (f))
  • describe typical functional checks per AMM
    (Part 66, Appendix III, 2. Level III, (b))
  • describe the removal and installation procedures unique to the aircraft type
    (Part 66, Appendix III, 2. Level III, (e)).
